The following travel guidelines detail how to get from various airports with costs estimates to the Radisson Blu Hotel. We expect that most participants will be flying to either Liverpool or Manchester.
Flying directly to Liverpool:
You will take a 15-20 minute cab ride from Liverpool Airport to the Radisson Blu Hotel. The fare will be about £15.00-£20.00.
Flying to Manchester:
You should take the train from Manchester Airport to Liverpool Lime Street Station. You can book your ticket in the Manchester Airport. The fare should be about £12.00-£15.00. From Liverpool Lime Street Station, you should take a 5 minute cab ride to the Radisson Blu Hotel. The cab fare will be about £3.00-£5.00.
Flying to London:
Travelling from London to Liverpool will require an additional 4 to 5 hours by a combination of cab, subway, and train travel.
Those flying in to London will need to make their way to London Euston Station to get on the train to Liverpool. The following is the method we are recommending, though we recognize that there are perhaps other routes.
Take the tube (London Subway system, about £4.00) to Paddington Station, or if you are arriving in Heathrow Airport you can consider taking the Heathrow Express train to Paddington (about £20.00, but much faster than the tube). From Paddington you will need to take a short cab ride to London Euston Station. You should then take a train to Liverpool Lime Street Station. Train tickets can be booked in advance (one such website is www.thetrainline.com, though there are multiple vendor systems like this in the U.K.) or on-demand when you arrive at London Euston Station. When you arrive at Liverpool Lime Street Station, you will then take a 5 minute cab ride to the Radisson Blu Hotel. The overall cost of this trip will be around £130.00-£170.00.
